Hampton Court Palace

One of the Royal palaces is being transformed by spooky spells and offering one of the most family-friendly half term Halloween events in London.

Experience the creepy sound effects as you visit Hampton Court Palace (which is notoriously haunted) during Halloween at Hampton Court Palace. Spot the carved pumpkins as you explore the haunted gardens.

It is one of the loveliest places to visit in London at Halloween with kids.

Kew Gardens

Kew gets a Halloween makeover during Halloween at Kew with glowing pumpkins, haunted woods and flickering fire gardens.

Tower of London

Another Royal Palace that has more than one scary story to tell is also putting on a London Halloween event for kids this year.

Halloween at the Tower of London is a fun Halloween experience for kids. Follow the trail of the spirits of the Tower’s past.

Chelsea Physic Garden

If you’re looking for family Halloween events in London that get you back to nature, take a look at what Chelsea Physic Garden is offering.

See here for their Halloween Broomstick workshop. Learn how to make your own broomstick using plant materials foraged at the Chelsea Physic Garden.

You can also have a go at pumpkin carving where you will learn all about pumpkins and the autumn garden. Pumpkin carving will take place in the spooky shed.

If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush this Halloween, take a look at the Thames Rocket Thriller.

Take a 50-minute speedboat tour down the river Thames with a gruesome crew dressed to scare and with a spooky story or two to share.

Covent Garden Halloween

Halloween Trick or Treat trail is a free Halloween trail around the Covent Garden area. It’s a great way to get to know the area and perfect if you’re looking for free Halloween events in London for kids.

London Wetland Centre

Are you brave enough to explore the interactive trail during Eek week! at the London Wetland Centre? Try your hand at pond dipping and potion making while you’re at it.

Although the Horniman Museum hasn’t announced any Halloween fun yet, keep an eye on their website as they usually have something going on.

This is one of our best London museums for kids.

Natural History Museum

Enjoy Halloween evening at one of the best museums in London for families. Halloween at the Museum is a museum tour after dark with a difference!

The tours run from 18.45 to 22.30 so this is really an event for older children.

Dark Arts Harry Potter Studios

Discover the Dark Arts and experience Halloween at Hogwarts – one of our recommended Harry Potter experiences in the UK.

You will experience Halloween as if you were a student at Hogwarts. Gaze at the carved pumpkins above you in the Great Hall. Look out for the Death Eaters and Dementors and projections of Lord Voldemort during your tour.
